AutoProData Terms of Use

By downloading or using the AutoProData app (“the App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is provided by MTA Global Inc. (“we”, “us”).

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Android devices you own or control, for your own vehicles or vehicles you are authorized to diagnose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, except where the law expressly allows it. AutoProData, its logo and the App’s content are owned by MTA Global Inc.

2. Required hardware

The App requires a compatible Bluetooth OBD-II adapter (ELM327 compatible) and a vehicle with an OBD-II port. The adapter is not included. Data available varies by vehicle make, model, year and adapter, and some vehicles or adapters may not be compatible. We do not guarantee compatibility with any specific vehicle or adapter.

3. Informational use only

The readings, trouble codes, descriptions, possible causes and symptoms shown by the App are general information. They are not a professional diagnosis and do not replace inspection by a qualified mechanic. Always confirm a diagnosis before repairing, replacing parts or deciding a vehicle is safe to drive. Decisions you make based on the App are your responsibility.

4. Safety while driving

Do not operate or look at the App while driving. Set up the adapter and the App while the vehicle is parked, or have a passenger use it. Install the adapter so it does not interfere with the pedals, steering or any vehicle control. Obey all traffic laws. Some adapters can drain the battery if left plugged in; unplug it when the vehicle is not in use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to access vehicles without the owner’s permission, to tamper with emissions or safety systems unlawfully, or for any illegal purpose.

6. Third-party services

The App can open links to third-party websites (such as Google, YouTube, Reddit and OBD-Codes.com). We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that readings or code descriptions will be accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MTA Global Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including damage to vehicles, adapters or devices, repair costs, or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the App and these Terms. The new effective date will appear above, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Future versions may add optional features, such as AI-assisted explanations, accounts or paid plans, with additional terms shown before you use them. We may suspend or end your license if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where MTA Global Inc. is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
